We had a talented young group of squad members heading off to the British Karate Federation Four Nations Championships on 19th and 20th April 2025 who trained very hard for this national karate challenge... And they did Higashi proud!

Saturday 19th April
Hadi started us off by winning a bronze medal in kata. Then, Soraya became the British Kata Champion, which is fantastic! Lorena fought hard and earned a silver medal in kumite for her age group. Soraya and Freya also got silver in pairs kata. Myla fought amazingly and is now a British Champion as well.

The boys' team, made up of Hadi, Reyan, and Adam, earned a silver medal in team kumite. The girls' team, consisting of Rania, Freya, Naiya, and Soraya, are now the British Team Girls Champions! Both teams worked really hard, and they truly deserve those wins.
Our small team made a splash on the first day of the British Karate Championships, securing a top 5 spot in the overall medals table!
Sunday 20th April
The fantastic news kept coming when Aiden fought really hard and won a bronze medal.

I wanted to share some amazing news about our medals table results from the British Karate Federation Championships. Our talented HKK Squad finished in the top 7, and I couldn't be prouder! This tournament was a big step up from the English Championships, and the competition was tough. We really showed our best, and you all did an incredible job. Well done, team! You made yourselves and Higashi proud!
