National Championships from Sheffield
At the first day at the EKF National Championships we earned three bronze medals! Janelle won in kata, while Myla and Kylah did the same in kumite. It was a tough day, but the girls gave their all, and we’re very proud of the whole team.

On the second day big accolades to Morgan who fought with lethal determination and came away with silver!! An amazing achievement. It was great to see his sister Renee, back out on the mat. She fought well and was commanding her fight, but it just got away from her at the end. She just missed out on a Bronze.

A similar story for Shiv in both his categories; good techniques and a lot of pressure put on his opponents, only to be caught a couple of times - tipping the fight the other way. Still, it’s more data to analyse on the long train ride back to London.
And finally, after a REAL TEAM EFFORT to get his licence to him (thank you to all those involved!), Stefan acquitted himself brilliantly in his first Senior event for Higashi, winning his first fight comfortably 5-2. Then up against an experienced opponent (who made it to the final), Stef met another stiff test in the repercharge. Just missing out on a Bronze at this level ain’t bad for an Orange belt! Really well done Stef!
And just a last word for Sensei Jennie, who valiantly refereed all day without a break! Thanks for your efforts, Jennie - this event could not run without you and your colleagues!
